Dear Wrightwood Community,
After 14 years of serving as your elementary school principal, I have made the decision to step away and take a different position serving students at Serrano High School for the 2025-26 school year. It has been a great privilege to serve this community, following in the big footsteps of previous principals like Tom Thorne, Jan Vondra, and Dale Levine.
When I arrived at Wrightwood Elementary in 2011, it was my goal to make the school the Pride of the Community, and in many ways, I think we did that by showing off our students at community events, by serving the community, and by opening our school to all our residents. I am extremely proud of the school we've created together, and I hope everyone in Wrightwood views the elementary school as their school.
I believe the school is in great hands for the same reason it has always thrived - the teachers and staff who work so hard to make school a great experience for children. Thank you, Wrightwood, for allowing me the privilege of being your principal.
