c._smith AKA Smitty here,
I love old Willys, which is what you have. I play and putter on them all of the time but work full time so don't have the time or energy to take on a serious project. I strongly suggest you take yours to Clark at Service on Site. He just opened his new shop across from Jensens. He has my 1952 Willys Pickup there putting in the new engine we had rebuilt. He is very knowledgeable on old Jeeps/ Willys and very honest I wouldn't trust many people with my pickup but I do trust him.
FYI, there is a great group of TRI- community Jeepers that meet every Saturday morning at the Evergreen Cafe at 7:00 to talk and joke Jeeps!
Our 5th Annual Wrightwood Willys & Jeep day is Saturday, September 27, in the parking lot between the banks. The group has continued to grow sine we held our first one. We have had people as far away as Arizona come up to join us. the vintage and condition of you vehicle is not important as it is not a show. it is just a group of Willys and Jeep folk gathering to exchange information and enjoy the vehicles they had had so much fun in over the years. We always take a short cruise in the affternoon to show off our village and the surrounding area. Please feel free to join us Saturday and plan to come to the 5th annual gathering September 27.
