Advice--leaky window cut out?
« on: Dec 19, 10, 11:48:36 PM »
Yea! I have drips of water coming through my kitchen window, the most interior part of the frame. (My neglected plants on the sill are getting watered! Too bad they're violets and can't tolerate wet leaves  :P . . . ) I am guessing it is the window cut out. . . ?

Any suggestions? I am guessing I should fill the exterior window frame gaps (which I assume are there--gonna have to borrow a ladder) as soon as the weather clears. What would be the best product? I assume after the pineapple express blows through, the temps will drop into the upper 20's here. (6,100 ft)

My kids just called from their rental house in San Bernardino. The dining room was leaking earlier, and now the computer room ceiling is starting to look like it's bubbling with water behind it.

They are moving everything out to the dry rooms and the landlord is trying to get someone over there to cover it temporarily. The roofers will be busy when this storm ends!

Good reason to have some duct tape and plastic sheeting handy
