Tree Trimming/Cutting

I've called three different companies for this service.  One declined the business because my trees are on a slope, and the other two were no-shows.  Help!  Can anyone recommend a reliable service?

Well, I haven't used them yet, and they are pricey - but they showed up right away to give me a bid. I'm still shopping around, but so far haven't had anyone else come to bid.

Hi,
   We've had several dead tree's removed.  One they dropped was snugged in between two houses at 3-4 stories tall which was not a problem for them.  The company we used was Donegan's tree service.  They did a good job.

I had a guy who was great, i think his name is mark and I got his number from a big guy who works in the lumber yard behind the hardware store in phelan. I had a couple of estimates of 4 to 6 thousand and mark did it for seven hundred. (i didn't have him chop or remove what he cut though) He was really nice, very knowledgeable and fast. Some of the dead pines he took down were huge! and some were right up on the side of my house. None of it was a problem for him.  I'll look for his card... but the guy at true value in phelan recommended him, so in the mean time you could call there-

Rolling Green came today and took down my pine. It was very dead and probably over 80 feet tall, and right next to the garage. They were extremely fast, and I can't imagine having anyone come do a job like that without Workers Comp and Liability, which they have.

Rolling Green took down a dying tree that was leaning over our house. The tree was about 30-35 feet tall. They were careful & fast  & reasonable ($400). The power line & telephone line were right next to the tree. No problem.

I will not mention the business by name because I know that the Mods prefer that we don't, but there is a tree trimmer out of Victorville who is listed in the Wrightwood phone book, Do Not use him!! My Landlord hired him to do work at my house and at her vacation home next door. Absolute jerk!!! terrible job and very rude!!! I would not recommend him to my worst enemy.
