I don't know why I can't find the right thread to post this on, sorry, but -- anyone want a used home theater system?

DVD/CD player, subwoofer, and three speakers. It's this:

Just missing the two rear speakers, which my cat mistook for scratching posts, and the DVDs take a long time to read, which is either a sign that the laser is dying or needs to be cleaned. Still works, though.

I also have this dead massive big screen TV that came with the house -- don't know what's wrong with it, plug it in, it doesn't turn on. It's a Phillips, like 4 feet tall. Garbage people won't take it, so if you have any use for that for some reason, let me know!

Tim, Did you try calling CR&R? We get two free bulky item pickups per year and that includes electronics.
I used that service for my old computer printer. Tho, some fool took it before they got here. You need to make an appointment. cheryl

There's also a computer place in Phelan next to the gym that takes e-waste; no fee. E-Waste is pretty much anything that plugs in. I have a broken electric room heater that I need to drop off.

Thanks, Doug, but I don't think I could get it into a dumpster, let alone over to your house. This thing is as big as my car... I think I might end up calling that Got Junk company. CR&R said they'd only take TVs up to a certain size...I think it was 40" maybe. This is probably 60" or more.

Tim,, an axe comes to mind and voila two 30" pieces that meet the specifications for CR&R.

But, now that I've found this section of WW.. I am inspired to do a garage sale or perhaps a 'private viewing' of the 'Garage from Oz.' Since we have 20 or more of everything.. but never the piece we need - this may be a good way to get rid of some stuff. o7o

There are people out there who prefer these kind of TVs to the newer ones. You might be able to make some cash on it on ebay...maybe craigslist if you're industrious.

vita-mix blender "drink machine" 10 years old. Works great, comes with base, 64 oz container with ice blades, lid and plunger. The plunger looks chewed a bit on the end, otherwise the unit is in good shape. $200

i have a whole pile of BMX bikes and parts. some of these are old school and some a probably junk. i'm not into BMX so here they are. i am into pre 90s 26 inch cruisers though, so if you have stuff to trade, let me know. i also have boxes full of new and used old school parts, rims tires and tubes that i don't have pics of. bikes/frames are gonna be priced from 10 to 50 bucks.
