We are nearly done with our boring up on Cardinal. Just a little more testing and we should be good to go.
We are starting installs on Raven and on the upper part of Cardinal on Monday.

To recap; This is an area with no poles. That means everything has to be bored in and done underground. It is expensive and hard on equipment and believe me you have to be in shape to be on the underground crew to work up there!
Residents in that part of town don't have anything except DSL. I'm happy and satisfied that they can finally get the high speed access they deserve.

Regards,

--Wes

Great news on the backup, love my UIA internet. All my teleworking buddies are jealous.

Would that happen to be why there were two short internet blips last night at around 2AM? I've been running an ARK server for my friends and we all got disconnected. Definitely great to hear about the second circuit though.

We were resetting our VLAN range during that time and that required a restart of the router so yes.. and we did test BGP also during that time.
You should have received a notification of the maintenance, if you did not then please call our office and make sure your contact info is up to date so that you get emails and or text messages for maintenance windows.

Regards,

--Wes

Wes we've always received maintenance emails from UIA and did not this time if one was sent. My contact information has not changed.

Does anyone know the office hours for the Wrightwood office? I want to turn in my rented router.

UIA is the best!  I was out and about this afternoon and had not even noticed an outage, but they are so responsible in notifying their customers promptly if there is ever a problem.  I recently had to change my email address, which is how I receive my statements from them, and I went into the local office this afternoon, and the nice young lady working was able to easily update it for me in their records.  So I did receive the message that was posted right above this post.

Any chance there is a known UIA issue or outage today?  Over on East Canyon, seeing very slow download and upload speeds. Bandwidth test showed less than 1 Mbps down, and under 0.1 Mbps up.
