What about all those people who are planning on getting married there this summer?  This sucks.

This won't affect them, the property is offered for sale at over $9 million. Not going to happen any time soon. NEXT summer might be an issue...

Then why would they close the zip lines?

I don't know about that, their relationship with the zip lining outfit is kind of murky. But there is only 6 weeks left in the summer, they still have the property, and they're not going to cancel upcoming events. For this summer anyway.

They sent me an email last week stating my business retreat was cancelled and to contact them about their policy on refunds. Of course I can't get a hold of anyone and they have not refunded my card...

Mike.. send your credit card company a notice that you are protesting the charge. You have so many days to do that after the charge is posted. Do it now. You can likely have the entire charge refunded to you if you're within the number of days allowed.   I've done that myself. And, your credit card company can advise you as to the format of the complaint and the window for you to do it.

They're evidently in bankruptcy.. so I wouldn't trust their refund policy at this point. You could wind up as another creditor that doesn't have much standing. You know, pennies on the dollar if that. And, do read the contract you signed with them as well.

Hope you can find another venue up here for your business retreat.  cheryl o7o

Yes, i put in a dispute. I am really disappointed. We are having the meeting portion at our cabin, but the guys were really looking forward to the zip lining portion.

Does the bankruptcy filing include the Guest Ranch, or just the zip lines?

Mike.. Ok.. your guests sound like thrill seekers.. take them for a camp out overnight.. you know.. was that a bear or a mountain lion?  Anyway, hope you can put your retreat back together so everyone has a good time.  Sitting around a campfire at night is always a great experience for bonding and sharing. cheryl o7o

Thats ridiculous ... California sure hates businesses. That places gear is top notch and in amazing shape. Those auto brake mechanisms are scary. Clearly someone that should not have been there, was there. A real shame...
