Perhaps now is a good time to open a "dialog" with SB County about opening an "escape" route from the western part of the village.  LA Cty has developed and paved Timberline up to the flood control channel.  I suggested to Brad that the county purchase the undeveloped lot fronting on upper lark and develop it as an "emergency" route to the village in the event of Hwy 2 "gridlock" and in the event of a need for first responders for emergencies--and as another  evacuation route for the west part of the village in case of an "event"!  There was apparently no interest as nothing was done--not even a study or community meeting.

When the Monument was being formed I submitted a proposal to them proposing completing the extension to alleviate the frequent gridlock on Hwy 2 which by their own study stated would be exacerbated!  Their comment, "it will never happen!  I think I still have a copy of that submission if their is interest!
