Generally, one chooses a deductible based on a comfort level with out of pocket cash repairs.

From the posts I read the CSD is saying that it is the Chamber and Lions Club responsibility.

Since the CSD submitted a grant to improve the parking lot and surrounding area, how can they claim it is not their property and want others, including our struggling businesses to fork over the money?

Just to be clear, if you rent the space for an event (and use the power), do you pay the CSD or the Chamber/Lions?

The Mountaineer Progress has an interesting article on this. It's not at all clear that this is CSD's responsibility, certainly not 100% of it. Anyway, read the article.

I was involved with the Chamber of Commerce when the power was installed. The Chamber had it installed to be used for Mountaineer Days. Otherwise it was locked.

Please, please make sure the retaining wall contractor discussed at the Oct 6th meeting is licensed.

Not only should the contractor be licensed the contractor should also have workman's comp insurance that actually covers the employees working on the property.  I rarely see proper workers comp insurance.  Without proper workers comp insurance the property owner could be held liable.

Of course companies like Granite Construction just pass the cost along to their customers which usually the State of California tax payers  :P
