Interesting article about our recent set of major wildfires in CA. Another perspective different from much of what you hear or read in the MSM.

It's even worse than this, and infuriating to me. Our fires have zero to do with climate change, here or elsewhere.  Area burned per year is down globally since the industrial revolution, including area burned by high-intensity fires. Santa Ana wind event frequency and severity is down 30% in the last 100 years. There is no actual data to support this myth anywhere -- it just sounds true and makes for compelling visuals.

The same is true for hurricanes and tornadoes, too.  Warming temperature does not mean an increase in atmospheric gradients, which is really what drives weather.
