PINE TAR REMOVAL

Was wondering if anyone has a miracle method or solution to remove pine tar from an automobile?  I know many products, out there, damage the
paint so need to be sure.

I've had decent results with Coconut Oil.  Apply it in spots, let it sit for a while, then remove.  Might take more than one application.

I would worry about using acid (vinegar).

I just used a bunch of hand sanitizer to get it off some furniture without any issues. I've also had luck with GooGone.

DeSolve - great product.  I wrap a spoon in a rag to apply pressure so as not to scrape the paint.

I had tar on my fender and used Goof Off.  Spray it on and rub with a rag.  It all came off pretty easily.  Here is a link to what it looks like:

I made an error when I suggested vinegar.  Coconut oil will work also like the others have stated.  I had my pine trees trimmed away from my home earlier this year and tar (?) was put on the trimmed branches.  Tar AND pine sap has been dripping from the branches and is all over my patio, my clothing, umbrellas, shoes, etc.

Well, to follow up I've tried almost all of the recommended products and have found that rubbing alcohol seems to do the trick.
