NW Corner of Hwy. 138 and SR 2

Anyone know what is being planned for that corner?  The owners have requested fire hydrants. It is zoned 'special district' which allows a wide range of projects.

Thanks Wrightwood.  I need to learn how to find these on the County website.

According to someone who attended the last Sheep Creek Water Company Board meeting, the owner was requesting two fire hydrants. There was also discussion about terminating the water access that crosses that property to Mountain Top Cafe. I assume that is one of those old "spaghetti lines" that are not all that uncommon here. John Lovett owned both parcels at one time.

MNM Investments is currently listed as the owner of record on the assessor's roll. Town Square is listed as the prior owner. Thanks again.

I heard years ago when they first added the fill dirt that the soil wasn't compacted properly and the fill also resulted in runoff problems down stream! I also thought I heard about legal action over the flooding issue! Can't confirm either of the issues!

I was being a good bit sarcastic when I said I could see a garden center there. It isn't a good corner for any sort of high-traffic use project.  For egress, you'd be crossing traffic for any direction except up the 2.

The property ownership seems to be the same principles that purchased it from the Lovett family. They just changed the corporate name. The state has allowed Sheep Creek Water to sell 30 meters. However, the moratorium remains until SC drills more wells. I'm not sure their current output would support a large garden center's usage.

Yes, enough with the Dollar Stores.

Believe it or not, I saw a post for construction of a Starbucks this morning. It will be on Sheep Creek Rd. by Rite Aid in Phelan.
