Deer on Blue Ridge Road

(I'm not in good shape right now).  But I made it, this is just baby steps in getting back into shape.

HaHa, Fight On!  We had parked at Guffy CG, walked the road over to the Heath slide, meandered there a bit, then walked to the Backbone Trailhead, where we sat on a log and had a snack. 

My brother and I while on patrol over Labor Day Weekend had a nice sized bobcat run across the road in front of us at that location.  Interestingly, he was more gray than brown, as have been the deer we've seen lately.

I wonder how many of these are displaced animals from the Station Fire, now that things have settled they have come out of hiding.

I was letting my dog run down a dirt road the other day, he likes to run ount infront of the truck.  There was a bobcat sitting on the side of the road and the dog ran right by him (within 3ft) The cat never moved and the dog never saw him. 

This cat was also gray and blended in very well.

I've never seen deer around my place. But since the Crown fire I've seen four.  It makes me think where there are deer, there are also mountain lions.

That's a cool shot!  Looks kinda eerie, but I like the colors.
