Gabe said multiple fires, largest several hundred acres moving toward West
Cajon Valley. Structure protection underway but no structures currently
being threatened. Moving quickly due to erratic winds. However, he said
rain heavy over area and they're hoping it might reduce fire.

Lost kiwi, I don't think Cajon Pass from any approach is viable at this point. Better take Pearblossom Highway westward and go from there.

Fire looks worse since the first photos I took, photos just taken at 3:30 PM. The winds just started to really blow, around 25 MPH right now..

KW just reported that she's on the 138 at Mormon Rocks. Smoke is currently going nearly straight up and drifting west. Fire is behind turkey ranch and Jadestone Pet Lodge. Lots of emergency vehicles in the area.

The San Bernardino Sheriff's Department has been request to begin evacuations along the north side of Highway 138 between Mormon Rocks and Mountain Shadow Ranch Road.

If you go to Road Conditions it states that 138 is closed from Hwy 2 to I-15 due to a brush fire but a detour is available.
