Don't you love the forest?  Me too!  I wanted to make a forest poster for my wall - but don't have any photos in my gallery that are just of the forest.  (They all have people in them.)  I found this image online, but couldn't contact the owner of the photo for permission to use.  If any of you have a photo you'd like to share with me, I'd love to turn it into a poster.  Kodak says I'd need to have it 1500 x 1200 pixels for a 16" x 20" print or 1800 x 1200 pixels for a 20" x 30" print.  (You can get either of these on sale for under $20, by the way!)  Let me know.

I want to make this an avatar.  I tried converting it on photobucket, but am having problems making this work.  Someone helped me last time - would love any advice.

The image is too large. It is 67X99px. I believe it needs to be smaller than 60X60 px.

Wow Chuck.   I live for days like this.   The monotony of blue skies really get to me every summer.    The clouds give the sky scape a variety.  Awesome shot.

Hollyhock in the rain.
The sun was out late this afternoon and it was still raining. Made for some nice photo ops......
I liked the rain drops in the background on this one.


Lower ISO, smaller aperature. No raindrops, but better contrast.

PinonMesaJon, I quickly treated your photo with CS3.  You had asked about it, the best way to show someone is with their own photo. Hope you do not mind.

...Auto contrast, color and levels.  Bumped up the saturation lowered the hue, then unsharpmasked it.

Wow, Surfer_Dude! Thanks, much! And no, I certainly don't mind your editting my shot.

I'd like to get some more info from you regarding sharpening, if you're willing. I'd like to keep it online to help others. If this is alright with you, I'll continue it under my "Sharpening Hints" thread. If you don't want to, let me know and I'll PM you.

Our basset hound Abby and my wife and I went this weekend to the Basset Hound Club of Southern California Annual Picnic in Arcadia. We had to drive through high winds and fires to get there, but it was with it. I would love to share some of the pictures I took at this event. Hope you like 'em.
