Good pic.  That pygmy blends right in with the tree.  Beautiful.  I know what you mean about the weather.  Yesterday we were at Dog Beach and Fiesta Island in San Diego today we are home with snow showers.  Life is good.

It seems like when we start getting the spring fever up here...another cold snap kicks in. But we don't mind too awful much because it means a good slow thaw so the ground can soak it up. I mean snow = water after all.

Anyhoots, took advantage of having a beautiful day yesterday and went for a Sunday drive with a couple friends. We couldn't resist a stop at a couple of the land marks around here. We were really happy to see they survived the snow loads this year.

It's wildflower time!  I took these near Tehachapi.  The displays are spectacular!  The fiddlenecks and popcorn flowers (I think that's what they're called) are everywhere.

I don't think I'll be seeing our spring till April sometime. Although I did see a bulb shoot poking out from the snow the other day.

I'm trying to figure out which one you took first.  (I'm assuming they were taken the same day.)
I'm guessing the one with two nets was first and the close up with one net was second.
Did you run to get the second one? (I thought the second pic was a blown up one of the first but the palm tree is in. And it looks like the sun is barley touching the horizon in both pics too so you ran didn't you!)
Did you use a tripod?

I buy food for the birds and I get this guy instead. The jays are constantly scolding me because there is not enough food, then they let this guy have it all.
