The Classic Car Show was wonderful! I usually don't take pics of myself, but I thought this one would be ok. I even waved.

Did y'all catch the 4X4 Corvette? Crazy. (All right, I'll admit it, I wanted it)

Polar Bear: I come in Peace

Norbert Rosing ' s striking images of a wild polar bear coming upon
tethered sled dogs in the

wilds of Canada ' s Hudson Bay.

The
photographer was sure that he was going to see the end of his dogs when the
polar bear wandered in.

The Polar Bear
returned every night that week to play with the dogs.

What equipment did you use for this one?!

Everytime I'm taking a photo of the moon it only comes out as a bright spot surrounded by blackness $:-\$
It would be great if you could reveal your "trick"!

Here are the specs for that shot...
1/60 sec
2.8/f
200mm
ISO 400
(EF 70-200mm 2.8l IS)
Canon 40 D
Set Camera on timer or remote
Live view avoids mirror slap (you can lock up the mirror on many cameras)
Carbon fiber tripod (dampening)
Ball head

Add patience..
There was still smoke in the sky so I added a few touches in Lightroom 2.0 to sharpen, but there was no processing to enhance the color.
