Plan Requirements for Permits?

Does anyone have any plans they'd be willing to share, so that I can get a feel for the level of detail they're looking for?  My day job is an engineer, so I don't want to go overboard with too much detail.   ;D

when i added a slab and patio to my house in cucamong, i think i remember getting a list of requirements when i applied for a permit.

Oh, I forgot to mention ... it's just remodeling the kitchen and bathroom, moving stuff around, but not changing square footage.

Oh, and I might need to strengthen the cripple walls under the house.  I'll check with the county on that one.
