Keller Peak 2 meter

The 30 amp breaker at the repeater site tripped around 9:25pm Sunday night. The Dstar equipment is up so it has to be the breaker. I suspect the newly repaired amp has a problem and tripped the breaker. This will require a physical reset at the vault. I will not be able to make it up there on Monday however i do have a back up plan. The repeater should be on the air tomorrow evening or perhaps Tuesday evening. Sorry for the inconvenience. You are more than welcome to talk on the output frequency until it is back on line.

Dennis Hughes, President of the Keller Peak Repeater Association sent out an email yesterday describing problems with the 2 meter repeater after the first snow storm hit and they have been unable to get up to the site because of the snow with the repeater being on battery backup for 67 days. They lost the main power supply for charging batteries as well as running the equipment. They also lost the control receiver that allows remote programming of the repeater. They will try and make repairs next weekend hopefully with some new & repaired equipment. The Keller Peak 2 meter repeater remains working and is at 146.385 (+) PL 146.2

I for some reason cannot tonight hook up with the Running Springs Keller Peak repeater on my Icom mobile radio.  I know there is activity going on because I can hear it on  my handheld.  All my settings are correct from what I know.  I'm at 145.120 with a tone setting of 131.8, minus setting, but cannot hear anything.  On Table Mountain all is fine, I can hear myself from the handheld.

Any suggestions on  what is wrong?  Last night I was able to speak to my Brother in Law in Rancho with no problem.

Thanks for any tips.

The Icom has a better antenna and is 30 watts.

If anyone is on between now and 9:15 please try calling me on 145.120

Thank you John and Bob for correcting the frequency to 146.385.  I was using a print out of repeaters from on line and it did not have the updated frequency.  Now I can go to sleep not frustrated.
