It has begun.  Pretty aggressive start. It'll be interesting to see if it pays off in the short term.

It appears they are just starting to build a good base at the lower part of the slope.  Blue Ridge is still open.

inversions set up well last night, so the base area probably did better for snowmaking. Tonight.. they are able to blow at the top, from what I understand.

Not sure of the status of Blue Ridge Rd... they may be blowing around it to keep it open for the last week of hunting season.... but maybe not. I won't know the details til Friday. hey, aren't you being paid top dollar to get this info to us RobertW?

Ok, here it is.  They were blowing snow over the entire slopes on Mt. High West last night.  They were blowing around Blue Ridge as you could see car traffic using the road.  Blue Ridge is still open, at least as of last night.

According to GSWC at the last water advisory meeting, the water table levels are OK at this point. They go on to explain that the water table levels are about a year behind for large changes. We definitely need a decent rainfall total this season or we'll be experiencing a shortfall.

The community of Wrightwood has shown that residents are conserving water. Overall water usage for the past year is down.

and mh's objective is to use as much as possible, blowing it into the air until is gone.  mh's water use should be insulting to anyone who goes out of their way to conserve.
