I thank the Wrightwood Webpage for displaying the "Guardians of History," to help seek out docents for the Wrightwood Historical Museum. That poster, and the following posters, were created by WHS member and artist Susan Kearns. We are not only seeking out docents, but most importantly members for the amazing historical society. Inside the small Ol' Fire House, which is the Wrightwood Historical Museum, there is a large amount of information. And even though much of it is available to a visitng public, the rest of it is literally at the fingertips of its members.

All are encouraged to come, from the young pioneers...

The last year has seen an incredible increase in visitors coming to the museum. The Wrightwood history section of Wrightwoodcalif.com had also received a big increase in viewers. We expect bigger things for 2009! The thirst for our local history is out there; be if for the legends, the tall tales or the genuine facts, folks are coming in to learn of them.

For this reason we invite you to join us...not only in visiting the museum, but joiining us in membership in the Wrightwood Historical Soceity (WHS); with special history-pack monthly get- togethers, the historic field trips and the information (about the place that you live and visit) that's right at your finger tips...we invite you to join us.

...to the ol' codgers.

Because of the increase in visitors at the museum...we also need your help. To complete (and share) history's picture, input is encouraged. Input is needed.  Please contact WHS president John Lenau and Terry Graham through the phone number on these posters, to learn how you can join this historical society and how you can help in keeping the WHS and historical museum alive for Wrightwood and her visitors.

Well, this isn't the first time I was lured into something by really neat recruiting posters.  I'm signing up.  A noble venture, as well as an adventure.

I'll come by the museum as soon as I can to sign the enlistment papers.  I hope there's no physical involved  :P

Tere's no physical...best time is on saturdays B/t 10am-1530hrs. Don't worry about the 5150 part, since half of us, here, fit that description.
