Need info on OLD Hart Skis

Thought I would ask here....
My friend has these old skis, are they worth anything?

I'd say those are from the early 70's. 

nobody would ski on those now days.  They are really not worth a thing.  They're are just a part of history now.

Last season at Mammoth they had an 80's day where everyone dressed up in their old gear.

Yep.   I'd say the early 70's too.  I started skiing in the 80's and we didn't have the straps, just the break away bindings.   I used to ski with this older guy who skied during the 70's and he appreciated not having those old straps because if he fell and started rolling down the hill, his old skis would just follow him down, whacking him on the back of his head all the way down.

I agree that you wouldn't get much for those now.    And I used to have a ton of neon colored clothes for skiing.   I miss my bright pink fanny pack.

I remember the leash days and I remember those boots.  The little narrow buckles where hard to buckle and harder to unbuckle. I think I still have a pair or two. 

The problem with the ski brake bindings is if you lost a ski in deep powder you might not find it until spring.  At least the leashes kept the skis attached to you so you didn't have to go digging around for them. 

The ski brake  made the yard sale crashes more impressive, between the two poles, and two skis after a good crash a skier could have equipment spread out all over the place
