Most of the information on that website is good but for Wrightwood area residents the 72 hours of food and water will never be adequate.

Can you imagine living off 3 gallons of water per person for the next week before FEMA brought in water. Everyone must not forget that Swarthout Valley will most likely be isolated with no way in or out for days or even weeks. Emergency response will be directed towards high density populations - not isolated areas with 3,000 - 5,000 residents.

Store enough food and water for surviving on your own for at least 1 week or more.

Quote
Plan to be on your own for at least the first 72 hours.

Store enough emergency food to provide for your family for at least 3 days.

Store enough water for everyone in your family to last for at least 3 days.
Store one gallon of water per person, per day. Three gallons per person per day will give you enough to drink and for limited cooking and personal hygiene.

There is a lot of good info in the above web site, but like John points out, 3 days of supplies is not sufficient for Wrightwood.

Mother nature unleashed another big quake.  This one was a 6.0 in Turkey.  So far at least 50 people have been reported killed.

Do they have any information about how large and when were (lets say) the last 5 "big ones" within 50 miles of Wrightwood?

A magnitude 8.1 wall-to-wall quake would release twice the energy of the 1857 temblor, Jordan said.  :o

We had a Disaster Preparedness presentation where I work - allow me to spread the word about the quake drill for Californians, to be held Oct. 21.  The County Museum has background information on different quake scenarios, video clips that mimic the effects of movements on the San Andreas, and of course more advice on what to think of ahead of time.   The site name for next week's drill is www.shakeout.org, and the County Museum is at http://co.san-bernardino.ca.us/museum/

Basically the most predicted movement is that a segment of the San Andreas approximately 150 miles long could move all at once, sending waves throughout all of Southern CA, even though the moving section is predicted to be mostly in the Coachella Valley.  So much movement would give almost anywhere in SoCal a long shaking, and predicted movement at Blue Cut, for instance, is 13 feet of sideways slippage along the San Andreas.  Since power, trains, gas pipelines, oil pipelines, and of course the 15 Freeway go through there, large parts of the Inland Empire would be very hard hit, and for a lot longer than 72 hours.  I can barely even imagine being on the 15 and suddenly being tossed about, and then seeing (if I were lucky) that the freeway was torn and part had moved 13 feet......
http://www.earthquakecountry.info/video/index.html  is another site, with videos.

Pacific Ring of Fire

Those fish "popping up" as Cavuto described; had nothing to do with Berklands theory regarding "gravitational pull and sun flares"... and frankly I didn't see a "ring".... I saw what resembles a 45 degree angle.

What we do know is that it is very easy for anyone to predict an imminent quake that is long overdue according to other predictions.

I think Berkland is a nice man who makes very interesting predictions.  I think he is kin to the Fox organization which appropriately uses him to discuss earthquakes from an unscientific perspective; as other's have too, having him appear on such entertainment shows as "The Art Bell Show, sightings, strange universe, and the Bill Cosby show."

But I wouldn't get riled up over what Berkland says any more than I would over Nostradamus, any more than I would listenting to the above news network.
