TASMA recommends that all open repeaters utilize CTCSS frequencies according to the region in which the repeater provides
primary coverage.
Standardized CTCSS frequencie make it easier for hams
visiting Southern California to find our CTCSS-protected open
repeaters.

I was wondering when TASMA start coordinating new repeaters on 440 will they go by this open repeater PL chart for open UHF repeaters?
From the the chart the 91.5 tone is what they are calling for for the whole High Desert and Northward. Maybe it would be a good idea eventually to move all the open UHF repeaters to a 91.5 tone....

I'm not at all sure what TASMA may have planned for PL Tone assignments for open repeaters, but I know they won't be managing 440 channel activities. TASMA is the coordinator for 2 meter activities in our area.

TASMA is working on taking over coordinating 440. Not to sure how it will transition yet but the latest minutes from the February meeting are up on the TASMA website.

Well, I been following TASMA and the chairman Bob, N06B was telling hams that they are not taking over coordination of 440 they are just giving repeater owners a option of SCRRBA or TASMA for coordination. This option will help repeater owners get coordination faster....
