There is a slight smell of smoke in the air - am I the only one who notices that?  Sort of cloudy and slight smell of smoke outside?

There's also a lightning strike at Table Mountain and ANF is checking on it.

I was on Table Mountain for that strike (this was about 5:20).  Me and a few other people had parked at the lot and hiked down the north side of the mountain a little ways.  That particular storm wasn't *too* close - thunder was nearby and kind of overhead-ish, but the lightning strikes weren't close....until that one.  I didn't see it directly, only the flash of light from directly overhead.  My brain had a moment to process what the flash was...then I heard a crack, followed by what you would expect thunder to sound like when you're that close.  The sad thing was that I was hiking around taking video on the off chance I might catch some thunder on audio.  I had just stopped the video to take a few stills and missed it.

Nobody could tell exectly where it hit.  I saw no smoke.
