January 21 - 28 is the QuartzFest in Quartzite AZ
If you aren't doing anything special and want to see whats happening
there and listen to some great seminars and spend time with other
amateur operators, this is the place to visit.

January 28, 2012 - 3rd Annual Palm Springs Hamfest sponsored by the
Desert Rats. This is a great event and plenty to see and many
exhibitors and vendors and growing every year.

The LA Marathon is looking for ham radio operators to volunteer to provide communications for the event.

Palm Springs Hamfest

The popular Palm Springs Hamfest is being held this Saturday, January
28, from 9:30 AM until 4:30. Sponsored by the Desert Radio Amateur
Transmitting Society, admission is only $2.  The location is at 4193

I was hoping to go to the hamfest this weekend. But I am going to camp with the Boy Scouts instead!
