Can anyone ID this?

This moth (?) is about the size of a hand and has been hanging out at a cabin up near Table Mountain. Anyone know what it is. Just the size of it is very unusual.

Ceanothus silk moth, Ceanothus being the large bushes with the blue flowers that eventually turn white-ish.
