Where did you see this? I Can't find any page that has contract info... only the "enter your name/address/phone number and we'll get back to you" page.

Also, I'm still confused on pricing. Their website now says $39.99/month, instead of the $70/month that was advertised before. No mention of wifi extenders, or any of that any more.

Bob they will email you the info.  It only took them about an hour to do so for me.

I kinda assumed (maybe wrongly) that the $70/mo is a no contract price.  The initial sign-up may just be for people willing to sign a contract.  I, personally, have no problem signing a 2 year contract to get the cheaper price.  I doubt I'd ever go back to Frontier anyway after having gigabit service.

One quick question/concern:  When you complete your online contract with UIA,

Where did you see this? I Can't find any page that has contract info... only the "enter your name/address/phone number and we'll get back to you" page.

Bob, after they email you a link to the contract, like RobertW said, you fill it out online and after you've hit "finished", you'll see what I mean about DocuSign asking you if you want to sign up for a "free" account.  In my opinion, it's best to click on "No, thanks" unless you think you'll need to use DocuSign outside of your dealings with UIA.

Hi all.

There are two pricing plans.  You can do a 2 year commitment at $39.99 for the first year and $64.99 for the second year.  OR, you can do a month to month agreement for $70 per month.

If you would like a month to month agreement, I should have those available tomorrow.

Sorry about the confusion on that.

I will be back in the office in the morning and sending out more agreements.  Look for them in the morning from Docusign.

Thanks all for the excitement.  We are very excited as well.

The 2 year agreement is almost a $500 savings (because you get the first month free), awesome deal! Thank you very much!

Thank you Laura
I know you all have worked hard to make this all come together

I really appreciate the fact that you tried to keep the price down
At $70 per month without a contract it's only $5 per month more than I'm paying mow for 5 maps

Thank you

Just a question about actual installation.  I'm a weekender and have signed up for the 2 year contract.  I'm in Section 1.  I'll have to take a day off to be at the cabin for the installation into the dwelling.  How much notice will I have of the actual installation date?

The first month free that was advertised on the site (until a few moments after I called and inquired about it) is not being honored. It was a mistake I was told. Just an FYI to those that are under the impression that is included.

I saw that same thing on their website. It did say "first month free", but don't see it any more.

I can clarify that.  When we were formulating prices, we toyed with the idea that we would offer two speeds, a reduced speed and reduced price, or full speed and a higher price point.  When we decided to go with  full speed only, the free month was taken out of the agreement, but one section that referenced it was missed.

It was a simple error.  I apologize for the inconvenience and confusion.

We did instead offer better pricing if you sign a 2 year agreement.

I will have the month to month agreement available as soon as possible.  If you wish to have a month to month agreement, it should be available as soon as we can get to it.

Thank you all for you support and patience, and enthusiasm.

And in other exciting news.....

The fiber crossed the highway today.

You may have noticed a full blockage of Highway 2 briefly this morning.  That was so we could actually run the fiber across the road.  I didn't get to see it so I don't know exactly what it looked like, but it does mean we are a very large step closer!

Sorry for anyone who got stuck in the traffic pattern.  We hope it was only a brief delay in your day.

I have emailed UIA yet still haven't received any Docusign document in my email from UIA, nor is it in my junk/spam folder.  I cannot call as I don't have phone access where I currently am.  What is the turn around time to receive the fiber agreement via Docusign after you have emailed UIA?

If you have not received an agreement, you can email fiber@uia.net and give me your physical address.  I'm sorry that I must have missed your contact.  The direct line for the Wrightwood office is 760-530-6113.  I will be here until 3 pm today, but most days it's 8-5.

Any recommendations as to what type of gigibit wifi router I should purchase?
