Tri-Community Helping Hands is a non-profit 501-C3. We distribute food on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month at the Methodist Church on Barbara in Wrightwood, from 10:00-12:00.
This month, we will be distributing a TON of Thanksgiving packages, for which people have already registered, on the Monday before Thanksgiving, so there will be NO regular food distribution on Saturday, November 28th. (We'll be empty by then.)
We are NOT associated with any food distributions in Phelan at this time. (Apparently that is a different group. That's not Tri-Community Helping Hands.)
Wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving! ?

Volunteers get there and start working a little before 9:00, putting together baskets. We find out what is there as we are putting baskets together, but have no time to respond to emails at that time, as we are really busy putting baskets together.
If you would like to find out about the foods available, please visit our Facebook site, at Tri-Community Helping Hands, a few days before the distribution. Then the people who run the distribution could give you more information about what we have on hand.
Hope to see you there on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays!  :)
The next Wrightwood distributions will be the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of January, at the Wrightwood Methodist Church, from 10:00-Noon.
If you would like to volunteer to help, please show up at 9:00. (Us old folks could always use more help.)
 :)

Unfortunately, this Saturday's food distribution in Wrightwood, at the Methodist Church, will need to be cancelled, as a close relative of Kevin's is imminently nearing the end of her life, and family needs to be there with her. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm sure that they would appreciate your prayers. ? We will keep you updated on food distributions.

There will be NO FOOD DISTRIBUTION from Helping Hands this Saturday, January 23rd, 2021, in Wrightwood, due to inclement weather. The Helping Hands vehicles would be unable to get to Wrightwood from the food storage area in Hesperia, due to older vehicles with no 4WD. Roads may also be clogged with snow player traffic. Ruth and Kevin are also dealing with 2 very recent family deaths. We hope to resume Wrightwood food distribution on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays next month. For updated information, please visit the Tri-Community Helping Hands on Facebook.
Thank you for your patience.

Unfortunately, Tri-Community Helping Hands will not have food distribution at the Wrightwood Methodist Church this Saturday, February 13th, due to family Illnesses, and funeral arrangements for relatives of the directors. We anticipate returning to a regular schedule of food distribution on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, beginning Saturday, February 27th. Thank you for your understanding. ?

I have a large package 8 # of chicken drumsticks that were delivered by mistake from Costco. The package can be divided. They are now frozen. Can they be used?

I don't know all of the rules, as I am not in charge of this food distribution. I just post the information given to me. But you can refer to the Tri-Community Helping Hands page on Facebook for more information.  :)
If that doesn't work, get back to me, and I will help you find an answer.
