A friend's father is in Arguanga. That's the south/west side of Lake Hemet. It looks like it's burning that way. Thanks very much for these posts. Cheryl o7o

#CranstonFire, 4 of the 12 aircraft that have been continuously working overhead dropping water and retardant to slow the growth of the fire and assist the ground resources with putting the fire out.

Considering the landscape around and leading into this area Idylwild is extremely lucky like we were when it came up and around Lone Pine Canyon.  Just further points out how important making your property fire safe is. 

Like Wrightwood, Idylwild had many fuel mitigation programs, which paid off immensely.

The Sheep Fire burned up to and stopped at the edges of the mitigation that was done in Lone Pine Canyon.  The perimeters of the prevention work and the fire's edge was the same.  Preparing really does work.
