UNLICENSED CONTRACTORS
« on: Feb 07, 20, 10:36:54 PM »
Just want to give everyone a heads up that there are a couple unlicensed "contractors" working in Wrightwood and you'll pay a huge price
if you use them.
I was told, and believed, that they were licensed so hired them to rebuild my kitchen.  After 3 months "stuff" started falling apart and when
I asked that they come and  make it right they, basically, told me to f-off.   Kitchen and lower floor of my home flooded and there's nothing you
can do about it since they were unlicensed.
If you'd like their names PM me and I'll gladly let you know.
I paid a huge price and got ripped off.  My goal now is to let everyone know and save people the misery I've gone through.

And, they were cheap.  WAY OVER PRICED.

Do your homework and save money and headaches.

Dave

it is easy to check to see if someone is licensed and if it's current. Just go to - https://www.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/CheckLicense.aspx    and key in their license number.

It will tell you if their license is expired, it will tell you their classification (ie: General, electrical only, etc ) and it will also give their bond information. Licensed contractors must have a current bond to operate legally.

This page gives you the option of entering a ZIP Code and selecting a license classification

Dave - You can sue them. My son just went through contractor hell - with one that was licensed. Most lawyers won't take it on contingency. Good luck Cheryl o7o

Not sure why we're not calling out these people out by name.

Please don't fall for "We've recently moved" or "We are going through a name change" or "I'm working with the licensing board to clear something up." It's all B.S.

Also, be aware that if you decide to report these people you will need to reveal your identity, identify them in a picture line up, and so on.
