Coping During a Pandemic
« on: Jan 14, 21, 02:03:51 PM »
My strategies:
I have gotten a few deliveries from Jensen's, and now I go there from 7-8 on Mondays during Senior Hour (even though I'm only 39) for things I might need (or if I am out of wine). I've ordered out from local restaurants, and been quite happy with that excellent service.  :)  I won't eat inside or outside at local restaurants (Some don't require food service employees to wear masks). I order other stuff that I need (or just want) on line, and have called Amazon to arrange delivery to my house, rather than the Post Office. I don't go to the petri dish Post Office; my daughter picks up my mail and packages for me. I don't go into my church because of lack of masking and ventilation (and I used to love singing in the choir). I walk a lot, with and without doggies, and put my mask on if I encounter people. And I appear to have learned how to Zoom. (Who knew?) Got some great puzzles and an on line Spanish course. Lots of healthy food and supplements (with the appropriate complementary wine).
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
