Hey Tomas... you shouldn't be operating a radi if you are seeing pink elephants.

My friend John Bauer has always been a Ham.  Now its just official.  His addition brings the Fire Safe Council Board to 100% of board members being Hams.

Just add HAM to his long list of accomplishments...
BPCA Board Member
Wrightwoodian of the year
Fire Safe Council Board Member
Lion President (past)
Honorary Mayor of Big Pines

I'm sure I missed some of his other accomplishments, and like Chuck I am proud to call him friend as well.

Congrats!

I have to correct myself.  We have one FSC member (Al) who does not have his Ham license.  We do have 10 of 11 that are Hams (91%).

Come on Grumpy, get licensed!

;D I made my first transmission today. Thanks to everyone that let me know I was heard.

I'll be shopping for extendable antennaes very soon. Does the place in Rancho carry them?

Seven more passed their Element -2 (Technician) tests today. Including one 11 year old young lady.

CSCEs already mailed so call signs should be posted on the FCC ULS in less than 10 days.

Congratulations to two new HAMS here in Wrightwood.  They took the exam last weekend at the Bass Pro Shop and passed.  They have just been issued their call signs from the FCC.

Paul:  KJ6CTB
Jean:  KJ6CTD

Paul and Jean are volunteers with the Grassy Hollow group (Volunteers of the Angeles National Forest). Paul also is one of the USFS Volunteers working out of the Big Pines Station.

The QRZ database isn't updated until after the FCC issues the callsigns.
