Took this picture at sunrise. One of my first shots taken with a digital DSLr (XTi.)  I bought it at Costco last night and I am trying to figure it out.  Even with it being a consumer camera it has a lot of bells and whistles.  ;D

Neat Ny pic, Surfer Dude .... Now don't be folding up your camera instruction book and put it inside a History book in class and be acting like your studying while you read the massive instruction book that comes with these new cameras. ;D

Very cool s-dude. I am hoping to study my xti manual over Christmas break. So far I take almost every picture on the dummy button. I like that one setting though where you can set the camera to take the picture at 3 different f-stops and then you narrow it down to find the perfect lighting.

A picture of LPC ; no clouds this time. This is the day when the sun goes to work late and comes home early. 8)
Thank for the comments, I have gotten out of auto but haven't downloaded the software for "raw" yet. Beautiful unless your driving into squinting everyday.

Funky, ever drive in LA?
Not really driving, just kind of sitting..... ;D
Don't be such an old man.  ;) At 5mph, this is far less dangerous than talking on a cell or putting on makeup.  I didn't even hold the camera to my eye; free shot.

Here is a nice indoor shot for you:

Mt. Whitney thru the arch

I took this in the Alabama Hills just west of Lone Pine.  I saw a pic of this in our hotel and had to find this arch.  Asked alot of people and no one knew.  The article said take Movie Road and it's to the right???  I asked a man with a camera out in the hills and he reluctlantly told me the general area.  We parked and hiked about 10 minutes and found it.  To capture this shot, I had to climb into a small ravine btw two rocks and lean to get it.  It was well worth it though.....

Lone Pine, Bishop, June Lake, Owens Valley are SOOO beautiful!!!

Happy New Year everybody!
