On the topic of the Big Horn Sheep but not really; a mountain goat is not really a goat at all, it's actually a species of antelope.

Is the coyote licking his chops after dinner, or panting?  Maybe he had a turkey dinner!

We watched the coyote cruising around for 10-15 minutes after drinking from the guzzler and didn't notice it find any food so I don't think it was either.

Then again who knows what happened before approaching the guzzler.

Where was that taken from?  I can see( from right to left starting in the center)  Wright Mtn, Pine Mtn, Mt Dawson, then Baldy.   Awesome shot.

It was taken from Baldy Mesa Rd in Phelan. The timing was perfect as the window of opportunity only lasted a few minutes. I was tempted to drive another few blocks and would have missed the shot.

Here's a few details:
Taken at 4:59pm 12-30-03
Camera: Canon 10D (Digital SLR)
F-stop: 4.5
ISO: 400
Exposure:1/125
Hand Held
28 mm lens

Have always been fascinated with spider webs and how they catch the sun. Those are some type of white flies in the upper right.

Hey Wrightwood, do you have a book or album of your photographs?  If you do, I would definitely buy one from you.  I enjoy looking at your photos.   :2thumbsup:
