I saw this photo op the other night... but my digital camera refused to cooperate.

AND I never knew there was so much traffic on Highway 2 at 8:00 p.m. on a Wednesday night!!!! YUCK!

Lots of patience and research goes into locating Nelson Bighorn Sheep.

I can't even begin to tell you what the adrenaline rush is like when looking through the viewfinder of the camera and seeing these speculator animals so close to home.

The Bighorn Sheep photo shown above was taken at Wright Mountain, less than 1.3 miles from Twin Lakes.

to see if it was poisonous (not) i found this:

"Common Kingsnakes should not be confused with Mountain Kingsnakes, which comprise a separate species (Lompropeltis zonata). The noctural Mexican Kingsnake (Lompropeltis mexicana) has distinct red-brown crossbands or blotches and occurs only in the Chihuahuan Desert." Is this red-brown with crossbands and lost in WW or another type?
