Thanks for posting this.  That's pretty close to my house, and in spite of double, triple, and even quadruple fencing because of all my neighbors' fences, and my own, I saw a bobcat on my back deck a couple years ago.  I'll take extra caution with my little dog this evening.

Had a bear on my front deck last evening (on Finch) - stood up and looked in the windows one that was open, at least he didn't come in this time - everything closed now about 85 in the house - the scary thing is my granddaughter had just been out running 1 block away. This was the same bear that was in the trash on acorn on Wed.

Just had a BIG bear run across the road in front of me at Division and Lark.  Oh, and whoever is, again, placing the trash containers in the middle of the road (Oriole), NOT FUNNY! Someone is going to get hurt!

Deja Vu all over again.. from about a year ago.

We just now had a good size bobcat streak across our front deck at Lark and Mill Circle West as we were coming home from our evening walk.

It headed East on Lark and stopped and turned to watch us to see what we would do. We could not get our camera ready before a car came by and chased him further east towards the Catholic Church.  Impressive

Dear Hubby and I saw a big Mountain Lion on the Jackson Flats hiking trail right around 4:00 pm, before the rain, yesterday!!
It wasn't far in front of us and it was carrying something dark and sort of big in it's mouth!  OH my, we turned around and walked back to Grassy Hollow, where we were parked, and were done for the day  :)

I think I would have done the same thing exit the area as soon as possible and avoid any confrontation with the Lion.  If you want to see a preserved Mountain Lion go to Grassy Hollow Visitor Center and seeing it close up I am sure that you would agree.

Were you intentionally trying to get the hiding Fawn to bolt and run?  Trying to figure out why that seemed to be a good deal at the time.

Jim.. How about sharing with us why you thought chasing the fawn from its hiding spot wasn't a good idea. Like it could be separated from its doe or it could get hurt running or....?  I love our wild animals and I'm always interested in learning. I couldn't access the video. cheryl o7o
