Does anyone know the history of the big stone house on the north of side of highway 2? The one behind the fence with the big metal garage like building next to it.

Shakespeare wrote funny too but it didn't keep people from reading his stuff.

Anyhoot, I think we need to get back to the topic matter which was about The Stone House North Side of Hwy 2.

I love the rock work on that house, it looks as though it could have been a lodge at one time. I'll keep asking around Clint and will post anything that I find out. It's got my curiosity up.

No. This topic is about the stone house on the north side of Hwy2, between Oak and Walnut.

I know someone who knows the home's previous owner. The way the outbuilding is set-up, and the things they had  in it always had me convinced that it  had been a garage, back in the 30s. They used to have great old vehicles and pieces of farm equipment on display during the May "transfer your junk to a neighbor's house "festivities,I mean the garage sales. I too am curious. ???

In the early 1970's the large stone house was owned by the Tipton's.  He was a musician and she was an attorney.  They sold the house to Mr. Zalud who built the garage with the tin roof. It has been resold recently .

Clint:
I don't know what happened to the Tiptons when they left town.  I do know George Tiptons did something in the movie business and in 1975 or there abouts he was up for an academy award for his music.  Mybe he can be traced from  the academy membership.

I remember that old stone house. It was about 1956 I knew the girl that lived there(can't remember her name)we were both in second grade . one day walking home from school we found her grandfather dead in the back yard. Kinda spooky saw my first dead person.
