No flower expert but do not think it's a wild flower and looks it like the crocus coming up in our yard.  Does the writing on the side have anything to do with what kind of flower it is?

No Eliza you don't have to do it if you don't want too..  I have a website where I sell my photos so it is a habit.  It is a copyright mark which says that the photo is mine and therefore it is illegal to copy or use without my permission.  As I take pics and post them on my website , enter some into contests I put my copyright on them.  You may notice that when Wrightwood posts a pic he always puts the websites name on the bottom..  It is a way to protect our work.

Please don't feel silly.

I dont. my pictures sit in my camera and only a few make it to my computer!  :'( My camera isnt the best. Ill upgrade some day soon.  :P So i can post pictures with the big shots ( "Wrightwood", Angelwolf, FirefighterSteve, Wildman, Mrs. Hillbilly)(Bostonbob) Sorry BB you got kicked out in to your own (space)

It's such an adventure taking these macros....I never know exactly what I'm going to get....I concentrate on framing...and holding the camera still....This little one is the size of a pin head...and is definately wild!

Beautiful photo, ffsteve - I love that color, and it's hard to believe that the flower is that tiny!

OK, maybe this question doesn't belong here, but I have a really incredible wildflower picture that someone sent me in an e-mail last year, and I saved it in "My Photos" (I was so proud of myself that I figured out how to do that!).  How would I post that here?  I haven't figured out photobucket, if I can learn that, is there a way to transfer the picture into that, then post it?  Real computer dolt here....

Depending on which reference you're using.





These were taken in the lower "City Creek" area of the 330...
The blooming is finishing in this area, however, many more plants continue to bloom at the middle elevations...

I'm still working on the vacation pictures and yes....these are from the new camera....which is new,,,but not that much different from my previous camera.....it jus has more megapixels and a higher resolution lcd screen.......this summer I'm hoping to step up...so to speak...

Whitethorn Chaparral....A menace to the urban interface..Ten foot tall, perfect air spacing, and lots of resins..
They have an interesting bloom and beekeepers like to locate boxes nearby..
