These pics are great! Thanks for sharing lens info. Friend of mine is here and thinks the kitty is a baby bobcat. Any thoughts on that?  Cheryl o7o

We have five or six Bobcats we see on a regular basis.  THe "I won't get it down from the tree" was a reference to my former profession.  I knew it was a young Bobcat at the time.

The Quail in our area have begun hatching another clutch of little babies.  Fun to watch them line up and drink at the pond.

Cute "kitties."    I never noticed the color markings on the backs of theirs ears before.

Great captures.  Our Hummingbirds are stocking up for Winter Migration and will be taking off about the time the Bluebirds join us for the Winter. We keep two hummingbird feeders up all Winter as the Anna's will stay year round while the others head South.

The first photo I took after I figured out how to shoot on Manual.  Wrightwood gave me some tips on setting the speed and ISO and viola!  Caught one of our Thrashers in mid flight.  The Males sing like canaries or Mockingbirds in the Spring and Fall.

Long time ago.....I practiced over and over on the Scrub Jays to see what was going to stop the action and give me enough light.  Wrightwood used to feed me tidbits of information to try after I bought my first SLR as a retirement present.  As you know, the way you get one good picture is take 200 pretty sorry ones.
