Not nearly as great cameras, but more local to home, I'm reposting the Catalina cams that we watched last year. There is more than one nest with a cam.

There's a little mouse tempting fate in the Two Harbor's nest about 12" in front of the Eagle at the moment.  The Eagle seems....intrigued. lol

This is awesome. I read on the site that this nest weighs 1 1/2 tons? Beautiful.

The camera they have installed is a PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) and as soon as the parent moves off eggs they zoom in.

Here's a screen capture I was able to just get:

What incredibly beautiful birds they are!  I had no idea the newborn chicks were so white and fluffy, nor did I know how huge their nests are.  This is fascinating!

:offtopic: here, but John, do we get any cams of local Jays or Woodpeckers this spring?

I've been noticing Flicker's in the nest box and have to get the camera working.

John: I asked Rennman the same thing tonight! He said it had been there, I disagree.  Talk about "breakfast in bed..."

I started watching the eagles (and some Barn Owls) on UStream a couple of weeks ago. The reason I like the Decorah Eagles site so much, is how close the camera is to the eagles!

I have been watching the Barn Owls since before they were hatched, now they are six owlets that the parents spend all night bringing food to them, what a hungry bunch! After 7 PM or so, it becomes a very busy owl box!
Here is that link: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/owlceanside

Looks like one of the parents brought some fresh meat to the nest as I see what appears to be a dead bird.
