I talked with my UCDavis friends and they recommend that I just leave them alone if I can. 

Yesterday we tried to put a camera in close by fastening it to the end of a 6ft pole.  Momma kitty would have nothing to do with it.  She aggressively showed her dislike to the point where I'm not going to attempt that again for now. 

She's in a corner of the garage that we haven't moved anything around in over a year.  The garage over twice the size of an average garage, and I don't park any vehicles in it, so I don't see a problem leaving her there for now.

I don't see her cohabitating with my domestic cats very long without eating one of them.  So I'll attempt to relocate them to an out building today.

SkierBob, what an amazing story! I totally agree about NOT introducing the bobcat or her kits to your cats.

How big is the bobcat? I always pictured them as twice the size of a large housecat but that's kind of vague.

WoW! How old are her kittens? How many did she have? or can you tell?  :o How will you move them if she won't even let you take a pic.?

Hi everyone, I brought up the topic about a mountain lion sighting last week because a neighbor and another local have recently seen one.  One sighting, here in Wrightwood, was near Acorn and the other was on Cardinal.  My intent on bringing this up was  because the information wasn't on the forum, and I felt that if true it should be, in order to warn our population.  The sighting on Cardinal was in the dusk hours, 6:30-8:30 PM.  The animal was said to be about hip high on a human.

For something like this--I think the "officials" should go door to door informing people to keep their children and pets indoors. If no one is home--leave a flyer in English and Spanish in a visible place.

Maybe volunteers at the animal shelter could carry this out.
