Drought bringing wildlife into the community
« on: Jul 02, 13, 09:06:35 AM »
As the drought continues wildlife is coming into the community in search of water and food.

This morning residents on Thrush found a young buck wedged between a wrought iron fence and called Fire Station 14.
Firefighters used a high lift jack to free the buck. The buck ran into a another neighbors yard, frightened by a barking dog only to return to the original yard and went through the fence once again. Fish and Wildlife recommended to cover the buck and they were in route to assist.
