This is the third start this season and I wonder if San Bernardino FD had a fire investigator on scene to determine cause.  This is standard practice in the Forest Service protecting the point of origin for the investigator is very important.

I believe this was an SRA fire as it was along Hwy 2 in the Caltrans right away. Which should mean Calfire investigator?

You are correct it is SRA and Calfire is responsible to investigate the cause of the fire.  I am glad that it was just a small spot that was quickly extinguished but that small spot may have or does contain some evidence as to how the fire started.

Sounds like it was a 1 foot spot smoldering.

Scanner Audio Here - I didn't hear a call for an investigator but scanners don't always picked up all radio traffic

I drove by yesterday to see what the small spot looked like after it was mopped up:

It is not unusual for fires to start from kids playing with fireworks two weeks before and two weeks after Independence day on the Forest and in the Mutual Aid zones.  It is unusual for Wrightwood though because most kids that live here are good and know better than to play with fireworks.  You can see that the Fire Department cut a hand line around the small spot which appears about 1 meter in diameter and the location makes me wonder if it could have been fireworks.
