BRI started closing on Tuesdays several months ago.  They have always been closed on Mondays, and added Tuesdays a while back.

Most "fine dining" establishments are open Wednesday through Sunday.

Perhaps... but compared to the places to which you refer,  BRI is pretty far from fine. I've eaten there every couple of years for decades.   It's adequate in the don't-want-to-waste-time-or-gas sense. Opinions vary on this,  no doubt.

Though BRI isnt the most exceptional dining experience, its the best we got.   BRI serves either prime or choice cuts of meat.   All the other eateries around the Village dont and I got a feeling the rest of restaurants serve warmed up stuff out of the freezer or can.  My clue is asking for a minor alteration.   If they cant do it, its pre-made somewhere else.

We certainly have our preferences.  I didn't mean to imply that any one place here in town is better than any other.

Just that "fine dining" is a category, and if you go to L.A. or S.F. and expect one of the great restaurants there to be open on Monday or Tuesday, you'll either be disappointed, or they aren't "fine dining."

Are they trying to emulate "fine dining" elsewhere?  Don't know.  It does mean the kitchen staff gets a five-day work week.

I love the Blue Ridge.  Chuck and his wife and staff are great!  Here's hoping closing two days a week, is for no other reason than they deserve two days a week off. cheryl o7o

I love the Blue Ridge as well and have no issues with them being closed 2 days a week.

The BRI is open Wednesday thru Sat at 5 pm. They have dinner seating in the bar/lounge and front patio areas. There is a limited "bar menu" but it has excellent choices! My wife, Mother-in-law and I still go each Friday! The menu items I remember are; large shrimp cocktail, artichokes, chicken geary, salmon with berry sauce, ribeye steak and other items I don't recall.
