Fire or ???

Is there a fire somewhere? From here in PH the mountains are pretty much at whiteout and the desert to the NW definitely a brown haze. We don't smell smoke. Don't think I've ever seen a haze this thick.
Any ideas? Cheryl o7o

Visibility here in Antelope Valley on the Kern County line varies between 2.5 - 3 miles, but odd that there's no smell of smoke in the air.
