I remember seeing a map that had the divisions and areas they have divided the fire into. Does anyone have a link to that map so I can follow the scanner talk easier. Thank you.

Steampunked - It's upthread here or go to the Angeles National Forest FB page.  They're briefing last night has the map in the divisions. Hit control + to blow it up.

Nice to see a number of fire engines from out of town driving our neighborhoods.

It's great to see how well mutual aid works in the Fire services.

Source: me.  Fires since 2000 plus the Bobcat fire fitting neatly in the middle to wipe all that out.  The amount of unburned land in the Angeles National Forest that is accessible by vehicle is now a small fraction of what it was in the northeast corner of the image starting at Mt. Baden-Powell.  As someone who has frequented this forest his entire life, this map makes me angry.  Sorry if my anger isn't timely....too bad.  If the FS can't protect this uniquely placed resource, or even struggle to keep trash emptied, graffiti removed and bathrooms clean then hard questions should be asked about who should tend this land, and who and how it should be paid for.

Yes, pretty awesome sight, their flying right over our heads today (west side). And the circle back is pretty quick. Hopeful they draw a line today between us and bobcat ... God Bless all the brave firefighters that are working so hard to protect us.
