CAL FIRE San Bernardino/Inyo/Mono Unit is in Lytle Creek.

South Fire Update: 500 acres, 0% containment. 600 structures threatened, 1000 residents under evacuation. 1 firefighter transported with a minor injury. Continued threat to high voltage transmission lines.

Flare up? I see one observation fixed wing and one Cal Fire fixed wing, two Heli's one is a SBD water dropper. The other Bell 407 looks like a media bird.

The #SouthFire started making a run this afternoon on the east side of Lytle Creek Road.

It is putting up significant smoke and is in extremely steep terrain along power lines. Water drops are difficult in this area.

I just want to say how thankful I am for this forum. It is the first place I turn to when there is a fire. The information I get here is far superior to anything I can find else. I really appreciate how we are given other resources to turn to to track or view the fire. Just awesome! Many thanks.
