It is with great sadness to report that Kathleen Virginia Smith passed away at 12:01 on October 16th 2023. Kathy was very active in the community including a long time Forum Moderator known as Nolena and served on the Board of Directors for the Wrightwood Fire Safe Council.

Kathy will be missed!

Kathy will be very missed.  I always have loved her quirky sense of humor. She has served our community well.  Praying for her family, especially Scout.

There are no words to express my sorrow to hear of the passing of my friend Kathy. Kathy and Chris were the best of what humans can be and will be missed dearly. When my sister passed away in 2020 from Covid Kathy reached out to me and was so comforting. She checked on me and reminded me that there are people who care. Kathy I will NEVER forget your kindness and wisdom. You always made living in Wrightwood a shear joy because of your love for community. I will miss you my friend. ❤️❤️

1. Where do we come for the memorial service?
Table Mountain Campsite #079 from 12PM-2PM. The wake will be at Village Grind from 2PM-4PM.

2. What is the address?
Table Mountain Campsite #079: at the top of Table Mountain Rd, Llano, CA 93544. Village Grind:  6020 Park Dr, Wrightwood, CA 92397

3. What are those 2 events planned and where are they?
Table Mountain Campsite will be the service, the wake will be at Village Grind.

4. What trains and or busses get us closest to the service? 
You won't have a problem finding a cab outside Union Station. It is a major transportation hub. Below I will attach numbers of taxi's who are in that area you are arriving at.

5. How can we get a ride?
Uber or Lyft are most convenient for those with smartphones. OR
I would recommend renting a taxi from your motel to the funeral services. I will list the taxi service below.

6. What places are there to stay when we get there? 
If you need to rent a room in the area, I would recommend the two motels we have in town. Below I will add the addresses, names and phone numbers of them.

7. Is there any place where people are staying?
Most guests who will be in attendance live in Wrightwood, so they will be going home after. Guests who are staying overnight and live out of town will either leave the day of, or rent a room nearby.
