This guy must be incompetent.  We went up Mt. Baldy road on the 4th of July.  Temps were in the mid-90s all the way to the top.  There were masses of people in the canyon trashing up the place, but the dangerous part was the complete neglect of the vegetation on the roadside.  Really dead, dry, light grasses encroaching on the roadway here and there.  Anyone in charge of tending the forest who devotes time to a press release, but hasn't devoted time to wildfire mitigation before the masses of people invade for the 4th of July should simply be removed.  No doubt our next fire disaster is right around the corner.
